Hiding something
Sometimes because of pride or ego or a mistaken idea, one person may not confide in another or tell them the whole truth. Have you ever been in a situation in which you didn’t want the other person to know something about you? You had something you wanted to keep secret? How did you act? Did the other person realize you were hiding something? How did your behavior change the way they acted toward you?

Well, I have definitly hidden something before, but right at the moment I can't think of anything specific that I have hidden. People usually do try to guess what I'm hiding when I'm hiding something though. Usually something like a Christmas presents contents or something like that. I'm not very good under pressure so sometimes I crack or give away little hints on accident. But when the secret is really important I'm usually pretty good. Sometimes I forget the thing is a secret so I let it slip. That can be very, very bad. I have had that happen on one or two occasions and it has not been pretty. I don't like secrets.

Spooky!
My least favorite Halloween costumes were a baboon and a pumpkin. The baboon, I think we got from a thrift shop and it was kind of embarrassing (especially around the hindquarters). I hated the pumpkin. It was just very big and orange and made me look fat. I wore pumpkin sox and crazy shoes. My favorite costume was a milk carton. That year I couldn't find a costume until the Day of. Our neighbors loaned it to us. It was just a big cardboard box that looked like a milk carton. I'm not a very big fan of Halloween because I can't eat all the candy so it's kind of pointless. I like carving pumpkins though. I don't think I'm going to dress up this year. Maybe I'll be swine flu.

BOOKS

I read a reveiw of The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks. It was a story about a girl who goes off to a boarding school and joins a secret soicety. I t sounds like an odd book and I don't know if I want to read it. The reviewer was kinda confusing and I didn't get most of plot lines. I have read a few books by the same publisher and I enjoyed them so I was thinking maybe I would like this book. I will have to read it to find out. Good idea for next time I go to the library.

Edgar Allan Poe

I have read/heard the tell tale heart and the cask of amontialdo. Both were pretty creepy and made you think. For me I think the cask was scarier because I don't like enclosed spaces. But for most people I'm sure the tell tale heart is scarier and more graphic. I like Edgar Allen poe, and I really like short storys. I like them because they're quick, (sometimes) suspensfull and they make you think most of the time. I haven't heard any other Poe stories so I am excited for that. I wonder if there are some about halloween.

How do you keep making the lights go on and off?" your pet might wonder.

My oh my, I sure do hate fireworks. If I wasn't a dog with these huge floppy ears I might not care so much for the sound, but my oh my! Every year on the fourth of july I sit there wonderin' why, why why! Why would you shoot those things ito the sky? Sometimes they make the litlle ones cry, I wish I could say to them Goodbye! The other thing I hate come on at 8:00 those things that water come out of and I try to ate. In fact I was once in the yard with my date and those things came on (that I tried to ate) and she tried too and she hated them more (to tell you the truth she nearly swore) and so when they come on ( the sprinklers you see) I hold my breath and count to 3 so that I won't eat that water so free.

(excuse my grammer, I'm only a dog)

Have you ever studied a skunk's eyes? Write about some item you find beauty in that many others might not.

I think this is an interesting subject. What I really think looks "beautiful" is things that are messy and broken down. Not like a messy room, but broken down farm equipment, lawn mowers, fences etc. I just think it looks really cool. I don't know why I like it but maybe it's because I lived in Benjamin for while when I was younger and it's just stuck with me cause that's how it is there. Or maybe it's in my blood because when I looked at my grampa's old property that's how it was. I don't know why, but I do know that my parents don't like it.

Blog Topic Sept. 16/17

(I am Romeo).  Dearest journal, My heart is like the tail of a dove on a cold winters night, frozen in terror but awake like a fire. I feel as if the moment of glory and happiness has finally come upon me, but then I am worried that my fire will go out.

For, today is the day that me me and my dearest beloved have come together,to love and cherish forever. Though our family's are not best of Friends I feel that Me and my Juliet will be fine. I have bean lost in thought of this day for ages and I have came with a plan. I think if it be fitting me and my beloved will escape tonite and be rid of our stupid worm bellied families forever! But now I must go for my brother has come into my presence. But alas! More tomorrow

Write a journal from the perspective of Romeo, Juliet, Friar Laurence or Nurse. It should take place after the end of Act II when Romeo and Juliet have been secretly married. Remember, you ARE this person writing what they would be thinking and feeling at this time. 3 PARAGRAPHS!

Do you believe in fate?

I think that fate might be real but there is no sure way to know. Sometimes things just happen and they are so crazy that it's hard not to think that it's fate, but maybe it's just coinsidence. It also depends what you mean by fate because it could mean that you belive there is a higher power controling our fate or maybe you think of fate as just luck. And useually it depends on your experience because some people might have witnessed very strange events that they couldn't explain without fate but others may think it is the weirdest thing that someone would even consider that fate played a hand in their destiny. Anyway I still don't know myself.

9th Grade: What comes to your mind when you hear the words, "Now we're going to read Shakespeare!" Do you cringe in fear? Do you giggle with glee? Wha

What comes to my mind? I think "Lame, I can't even understand shakespeare very well".  So I don't really want to read shakespeare, but on the other hand it sounds a bit fun because I've never read romeo and juliet, so I guess it could be fun. So yeah i mean it's not gonna be real fun but i guess I might enjoy it a little. in drama class we had to memorize shakespeare and that is why I kinda hate it because I have a hard time understanding it. That is all i have to say.
